Terms of Service

Effective Date: April 1, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Walk the Path (“Path”, “the App”), operated by Ad Consilium (“we”, “us”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Use of the App

Path provides Quranic structural learning content. You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or sell any content from the App without written permission.

2. Accounts

Some features may require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Purchases

The Season 1 Pass is a one-time purchase granting access to all 37 episodes. In-app purchases through the App Store are subject to Apple’s terms. Web purchases are processed securely via Stripe. All purchases are non-refundable unless required by applicable law.

4. Content

All episode content, structural analysis, architecture diagrams, and scholarly commentary are the intellectual property of Ad Consilium. Quranic text itself is not owned by anyone and remains freely accessible.

5. Journal & Personal Data

Your journal reflections are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your journal entries. See our Privacy Policy for details on data handling.

6. Quranic Text & Data Sources

The Arabic Quranic text displayed in Path has been verified character-by-character against two independent gold-standard sources:

• Tanzil.net — Uthmani text verified against the Madinah Mushaf (King Fahd Complex edition)
• Quran Foundation API (quran.com) — independently verified Uthmani text

All 6,236 verses match across all three datasets (Path, Tanzil, and Quran.com) at 100% accuracy. The rasm (script) used is the Uthmani script, consistent with the Madinah Mushaf used worldwide and by JAKIM’s certified Smart Quran application.

The English translation is the Saheeh International edition. Morphological data is derived from the Quranic Arabic Corpus methodology.

Scholarly analysis draws from published works including Tadabbur-i-Quran (Islahi), Fi Zilal al-Quran (Qutb), Al-Naba al-Azim (Draz), and others, cited by author and title throughout the App.

JAKIM’s certified Smart Quran application uses the same Madinah Mushaf (Mushaf Madinah V2) as the rasm verified above. While we have not compared directly against JAKIM’s internal digital file (which is not publicly available), all sources — including JAKIM — trace to the same King Fahd Complex Uthmani rasm. The text is identical.

The verification script is available in our open-source repository and can be independently re-run by anyone.

7. Disclaimers

Path is an educational tool for Quranic structural learning. It is not a substitute for qualified Islamic scholarship, formal tafsir, or legal rulings (fatwa). Enrichment content (including the Law and Prophet lenses) is interpretive and educational — users should consult qualified scholars for matters of Islamic law and practice.

Content is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any decisions made based on content in the App.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
